A range of family films is available for you to borrow.
- The large central coffee table provides plenty of space for playing cards, games and jigsaws which are provided.
Throughout this centrally heated property you will discover unique art and crafts made by Geoff and Jenny Finch who also run Dalton Pottery Art Café, just across the road from The Garden House.
Geoff and Jenny have designed, made and painted the features of this home to create an inspiring interior believing strongly that our surroundings affect the way we feel, and hope the light, colour, textures and art in the house make your stay even more enjoyable. Each room has original paintings by Jenny that have been inspired by the surrounding landscape.
The cosy carpeted hall leads through to the four bedrooms, each of which has an individual character:
A modern leather king size bed room features fitted wardrobes and handmade Acacia wood furniture. Paintings inspired by the sea reflect the soft buttermilk walls.
The main bathroom sparkles with jewel like turquoise mosaic creating a modern clean Mediterranean feel and features a brand new contemporary suite comprising WC, pedestal basin and wide bath with integral safety glass shower panel and electric shower.
- The twin bedroom has a bright summer holiday atmosphere, with its white painted ‘Art and Crafts’ furniture and subtle blue colour scheme. A fine oil painting of local bluebell woods, by Jenny, adds to the feeling than this home is closely linked to the surrounding countryside.
-
The master bedroom has been carefully designed to make you feel special. Close the bedroom door and the coffee and cream colour scheme and art deco sophisticated Mocha curved walls transport you to what could be a luxury hotel suite.
Soft light filters through the frosted glass doors which lead to your en-suite bathroom.
A walk in wet room shower, toilet and wall mounted basin have been carefully positioned to allow less mobile and even wheelchair users to access all facilities without compromising on fabulous interior design.
- The bunk bedroom, though not specifically for children, has a funky, young feel; teenagers will not want to haul themselves off the super size leather beanbag chair which is also ideally suited to becoming cuddly soft seating for bedtime stories with younger children.
This is a very special place and we hope you enjoy your stay.
